Hours after the Civil Law Court ordered the eviction of the Opposition Congress for Democratic Change from its Party Headquarters in Congo Town, some top-ranking officials, including ex-Speaker Fonati Koffa, said, “CDC is not the building. It is the hearts and minds of the masses.”
But development specialist and a critic of ex-Pres. Weah, Ambulah Mamey alias Gbarpoluboy Ambulah, has sharply reacted, accusing Weah and his team of building private mansions for they and their families while neglecting their partisans.
Ambulah Mamey writes on his official Facebook page, “Weah & his team built mansions for themselves, families/ friends. They didn’t say better life is not physical mansions but the heart. When it comes to the Headquarters for all the partisans, Weah and all CDC leaders are saying one recitation: “CDC it is not about the physical structure but the heart”? One day, God will open CDCians eyes to request FAIR SHARE & refuse to be used as political commodities for a few people’s luxury.”
In a separate Facebook post, Mamey called on CDCians to open their eyes as he asserted, “Weah really find his ownur “junk” ya. This man built solid mansions for himself all over the country, refused to enter lease or pay for the party headquarters. But on the day of eviction, he shared AI generated pictures of proposed headquarters and his people dancing. One day, God will open CDCIANS eyes.”
Up to this time of reporting, no executive member of the CDC has responded to the critique of Mamey.
