Voinjama City, Lofa County – Liberia’s Minister of Education, Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, on Saturday inducted the newly elected County Education Officers (CEOs) Council into office during a ceremony held in Voinjama City, Lofa County.
The Minister also administered the oath of office to the elected officials, charging them to work collectively to strengthen Liberia’s school system in line with the government’s ARREST Agenda.
The induction ceremony brought together students, local government officials, women, elders, and education stakeholders from Voinjama and surrounding communities. County Education Officers from all 15 counties were in attendance.
Those inducted into leadership positions of the Council include:
Mr. David V. Boakai, County Education Officer, Bong County- Chairman.
Madam Amanda W. Zota, County Education Officer, Montserrado County-Vice Chairperson
Mr. Jallah Sammy, County Education Officer, River Gee County-General Secretary
Mr. Francis G. Leagay, County Education Officer, Nimba County-Public Relations Officer
Mr. Samuel Y. Koenig, County Education Officer, Sinoe County-Chaplain
Mr. Harrison Darwolor, County Education Officer, Grand Cape Mount County-Advisor
Speaking during the program, the inducted officials pledged to work together to improve the quality of education across Liberia.
In special remarks, Dr. Jallah urged the Council to demonstrate commitment, professionalism, and teamwork in advancing education nationwide.
“Education remains the backbone of national development, and your leadership at the county level is critical to achieving meaningful reform,” the Minister stated.
The event marked a renewed commitment by education authorities to strengthen coordination and service delivery within Liberia’s education sector.
