Former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has thrown her support behind Edith Gongloe-Weh in the upcoming senatorial by-election in Nimba County.
The endorsement came during a fundraising event held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, where Sirleaf praised Gongloe-Weh as a strong advocate for women and children. She underscored the significance of electing Gongloe-Weh to the Liberian Senate, citing the need for greater female representation in national leadership.
