EPA Shuts Down Multiple Mineral Water Factories in Monrovia

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has ordered the closure of several mineral water factories across Monrovia.

The shutdowns were implemented after inspections revealed that the facilities failed to comply with health and environmental regulations.

Royalty Aqua Mineral Water Company, located on Old Road behind Kailondo, was among the first factories closed.

Jolly Jolly Mineral Water, situated at Airfield, Lakpazee, was also shut down following similar violations.

Several factories along the Airfield in Sinkor were affected, including Kro-Tou Mineral Water.

Gboni Mineral Water, another facility in the same area, was also ordered to cease operations immediately.

Jafene Mineral Water, located in Airfield, Sinkor, faced closure due to non-compliance with EPA safety standards.

Jan’s Spring Mineral Water, operating in the same industrial zone, was also shut down.

The EPA additionally closed Mount Wologisi Mineral Water Factory on 20th Street.

The agency emphasized that public health and safety are the top priorities for these actions.

Authorities warned that all water production facilities must adhere strictly to sanitation and environmental regulations.

Consumers are advised to purchase mineral water only from licensed and EPA-approved sources.

The closures highlight ongoing efforts by the EPA to monitor and enforce water quality standards in Liberia.

Officials said that further inspections will continue to ensure compliance across the country’s water production industry.
