In a press release signed by its National Chairman, Revolutionary Gladiator Manja Varney Gbassey Kromah of the Green Revolution, expressed alarm over Ja’neh’s recent allegations against the Liberian Government. Ja’neh has accused the Liberian Government of abducting Khali Cherif, a former LURD associate and alleged confidant of Guinea’s ousted President Alpha Conde. Ja’neh claims Cherif was handed over to Guinea’s military junta, where he was allegedly executed—a narrative the Green Revolution vehemently denies.
The Green Revolution contends that Ja’neh’s accusations have heightened tensions between Liberia and Guinea, resulting in significant military deployments along the border. Guinea’s military junta has accused Liberia of harboring individuals seeking to destabilize Guinea, further straining relations between the two nations.
In contrast to Ja’neh’s claims, the Green Revolution asserts that Cherif was not handed over to the Guinean junta but remains under the observation of Liberian security forces. The organization alleges that Cherif was recruiting former LURD combatants for a covert operation to overthrow Guinea’s junta.
The Green Revolution condemned Ja’neh’s actions, calling them “barbaric, unconventional, and undemocratic,” and emphasized that such activities do not reflect Liberia’s values. The statement also revealed that during Cherif’s interrogation, multiple conflicting identity cards were found, raising suspicions about his true nationality and intentions.
The Green Revolution accused Ja’neh of exploiting his past affiliations with former President Alpha Conde to advance his agenda. It also called on Liberians to reject attempts to manipulate the Country into regional conflict and destabilization.
The organization advised law enforcement agencies to handle Cherif’s case carefully, stressing the importance of thorough investigations without undue influence from Ja’neh or other parties. The Green Revolution also
