The former Assistant Minister for Mines, Hon. Carlos Tingban Edison, is innovating beyond public service. Hon. Edison has established a GeoMining and Environmental Consultancy specializing in exploration support, ESIA, mining advisory, geospatial analysis, etc.
Edison, who serves as founder and executive director, said the institution was created to promote responsible resource development that balances economic growth with environmental protection and community well-being.
According to him, the consultancy aims to support both public and private sector actors involved in Liberia’s extractive industry.
He noted that the firm will emphasize professionalism, transparency, and adherence to national and international standards.
GeoMining and Environmental Consultancy Inc. will provide geological and mineral exploration support to mining companies and investors.
The firm also offers Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Mining and environmental compliance advisory services form a key part of the consultancy’s portfolio.
Edison disclosed that geospatial analysis and data-driven decision-making will be central to the company’s operations.
He added that the consultancy will support institutional capacity-building within the mining and environmental sectors.
The former assistant minister said his experience in public service informed the vision and structure of the firm.
He expressed confidence that the consultancy will contribute meaningfully to sustainable mining practices in Liberia and the region.
