The Experts Institute of Technical and Professional Studies (EITPS) has celebrated its first-ever graduation, recognizing 39 young Liberians who completed training in various technical and professional fields.
This landmark ceremony highlighted the institute’s mission to empower youth with practical, in-demand skills that can drive both personal and national development.
Graduates received certifications in Information Technology, Catering, Cosmetology, Plumbing, Electricity, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, Bio-Digestion, Tailoring, Public Relations, and other skill areas.
Keynote speaker Jocephus Paye, Political Officer to Vice President Jeremiah K. Koung, praised the initiative, calling for wider investment in vocational training as a solution to youth unemployment.
“There is an urgent need for more programs like this,” said Paye. “Graduates must now apply their skills to support Liberia’s progress.”
He also lauded the institute’s leadership, describing EITPS as a product of patriotic collaboration for national growth.
CEO Robert Kojo Okyne told attendees that the school was born out of a desire to address Liberia’s deep-rooted challenges in youth employment and skills development.
“For too long, many high school graduates lacked access to practical training,” he said. “EITPS was founded to change that.”
Established by Liberian professionals trained in ICT and Business Management at the University of Legon in Ghana, EITPS offers a curriculum designed to produce workforce-ready graduates.
The institution is registered with the Ministry of Education, Liberia Business Registry, and the Liberia Revenue Authority, and operates with qualified, experienced instructors.
EITPS currently offers beginner to advanced training in ICT, Electricity, Catering, Public Speaking, Radio Jingle Production, Event Decoration, and more.
This inaugural graduation marks a pivotal moment in Liberia’s technical education landscape, opening new opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to society.
