Fire Outbreak on Runway at RIA

A fire broke out on a section of the runway at Roberts International Airport (RIA) late Tuesday afternoon, causing a brief disruption in operations. The fire reportedly began near the airport’s perimeter, with investigations pointing to an invasion by the 04. Although the exact cause remains under investigation, the airport’s emergency response teams swiftly addressed the situation.

According to Ernest G. Sharpe, the Corporate Communication Director for the RIA, the Airport’s Fire and Rescue Department responded promptly to contain the blaze. “Our emergency services acted quickly and effectively to prevent the fire from spreading further,” Sharpe stated in an interview with our correspondent in Margibi. The situation was quickly brought under control, and the airport’s operations resumed without any major delays.

Shape also assured the public that no casualties have been reported in connection with the fire. “We are thankful that no lives were lost and no injuries were sustained,” he added. While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, airport authorities are working diligently to identify any potential safety lapses that could have led to the outbreak.

In the wake of the incident, Sharks has warned the public about the dangers of mishandling fire near the airport premises. “We urge all citizens to refrain from using fire or engaging in any activity that could pose a risk around the airport property,” he stressed.

At this time, operations at the airport are actively moving properly, and the public is encouraged to check for updates on the airport’s page.

Authorities have reassured the public that safety measures are being thoroughly reviewed to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.
