The Liberia National Police (LNP) has charged and forwarded to the Monrovia City Court five defendants linked to a violent armed robbery in Momboe Town, Bushrod Island.
The five defendants now face charges of Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Facilitation, Armed Robbery, and Theft of Property.
According to the police charge sheet, the incident occurred on February 24, 2024, at the home of Comfort S. Yan and her husband, Frankey Yan, a Chinese national on Bushrod Island.

The investigation took a significant turn on October 3, 2024, when Yan’s father-in-law reported a suspicious group trying to break into the family compound.
Police responded quickly and intercepted the suspects fleeing in a yellow taxi.
