Foreign Minister Embraces New Ambassadors-Designate to Liberia

Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, warmly welcomed several Ambassadors-designate to Liberia at her office on Capitol Hill, Monrovia.

The ceremonial meeting, which took place on Monday, July 15, 2024, precedes the formal presentation of their letters of credence to His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of Liberia.

The incoming Ambassadors-designate, representing a diverse array of nations, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Nyanti, marking the official commencement of their diplomatic missions in Liberia.

The event is an integral part of the diplomatic protocol that leads up to their individual audiences with President Boakai, where they will present their credentials, thus formalizing their roles as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Liberia.

 Distinguished Ambassadors-designate include: Mrs. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi of the Republic of Namibia, H.E. Tamas Endre Feher of the Republic of Hungary, H.E. Edouard Nduwimna of the Republic of Burundi, H.E. Pavel Bilek of the Czech Republic, H.E. Daniel Manhongo of the Republic of Zambia.

Others include H.E. Dr. Usra Hendra Harahap of the Republic of Indonesia, Ursula Fahringer of the Republic of Australia, H.E. Veluppillai Kananathan of the Republic of Sri Lanka and H.E. Saad bin Bakheat Al-Qathami of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Minister Nyanti, in her address to each Ambassador-designate, expressed her pleasure in receiving such distinguished representatives.

 She emphasized the critical importance of diplomatic relations and international cooperation, highlighting Liberia’s unwavering commitment to fostering strong bilateral ties with their respective countries.

“The arrival of these esteemed Ambassadors-designate is a testament to the enduring partnerships and shared values between Liberia and their nations,” Minister Nyanti stated.
