The National Port Authority (NPA), in collaboration with the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), APM Terminals (APMT), and several shipping lines, has announced the conduct of a public auction at the Freeport of Monrovia on Saturday, October 25, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
According to the official notice issued under reference PUBLIC AUCTION PROCEDURE: NPA/LRA/APMT/SHIPPING LINES/AUCT/.01/’25, the auction exercise is being carried out in strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) governing the disposal of condemned or abandoned goods within the port.
The auction will involve the sale of vehicles, uniform cargo, and assorted materials. Members of the public interested in participating are required to purchase auction booklets at a nonrefundable fee of US$50.00 each.
Booklets will be available for sale at the Cashier’s Office, Freeport of Monrovia, prior to the auction date.
The NPA, through the Auction Committee, emphasized that no consignee or agent of the condemned or abandoned goods scheduled for sale will be allowed to participate in the bidding process.
The upcoming auction is expected to attract a wide range of local businesspeople, importers, and private buyers seeking to acquire vehicles and other items that have remained unclaimed at the port for extended periods.
