The Friends of Fred P. Weasah have commended the ruling Unity Party for its recent announcement to construct modern party headquarters across all fifteen counties of Liberia, describing the initiative as a “visionary step” toward decentralization and grassroots empowerment.
In a press statement issued Thursday, the group hailed the Unity Party’s National Chairman and Executive Committee for what it termed a “forward-thinking and inclusive” approach to strengthening the party’s presence and operations nationwide.
As part of their support for this national undertaking, the group announced a major contribution from Honorable Fred P. Weasah, a prominent Unity Party member and influential figure in Margibi County. Hon. Weasah has donated a parcel of land ~ complete with full legal documentation ~ for the construction of the Unity Party’s Margibi County headquarters.
According to the statement, this donation “demonstrates not only Hon. Weasah’s profound loyalty to the ideals of the Unity Party but also his unwavering commitment to the socio-political advancement of Margibi County and Liberia as a whole.”
The group described Hon. Weasah’s gesture as “a true act of patriotism” and “a clarion call to all well-meaning partisans and patriotic Liberians to emulate this example of selflessness and vision.”
The Friends of Fred P. Weasah reaffirmed their full support for the leadership of the Unity Party, pledging to continue advancing the party’s developmental agenda and promoting national unity.
“We remain resolute in ensuring that the Unity Party’s transformative vision reaches every household, every community, and every county across the Republic of Liberia,” the group stated.
The Unity Party has announced December 6, 2025, as the official date for the groundbreaking ceremony of its new national headquarters in Monrovia.
