Monrovia, Liberia – August 24, 2025 – As Liberians across the country commemorate National Flag Day, a day symbolizing unity and patriotism, Grand Bassa County District #1 aspirant Hon. Roland M. Okai, Sr. has extended heartfelt greetings to citizens both at home and abroad.
In a statement issued under the banner of his movement, Friends of Okai, Hon. Okai congratulated Liberians for upholding the values embodied in the Lone Star. He described the flag as a “symbol of unity” and encouraged Liberians to celebrate the occasion in grand style.
“I extend happy Flag Day greetings to my friends, family, team members, supporters, sponsors, queens, kings, princes, and princesses in and outside Liberia,” Hon. Okai noted. “This day reminds us of the strength and resilience of our nation.”
The aspiring lawmaker, who has declared his intention to contest in the 2029 legislative elections, further reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Grand Bassa District #1 with humility and dedication.
National Flag Day, observed annually on August 24, marks the official adoption of Liberia’s flag in 1847, shortly after the country declared its independence. It remains one of the country’s most celebrated patriotic holidays.
