Hipco rapper Queen V has reacted strongly to a controversial statement by economist Samuel Jackson, posting that her father was killed in 1985 and that his body was never recovered.
The artist, whose real name is Avenette Tennema Sirleaf, wrote alongside the images: “The late A.V. Sirleaf, Sr. killed 1985. Body never recovered! Taken from his home in Stephen Tolbert Estate.”
Her post followed a controversial statement by Liberian economist Samuel Jackson, who during a Facebook Live broadcast reportedly said, “We killed your father Sirleaf.”
Responding to the remark, Queen V wrote online: “Ur confession to killing my father on ur Facebook Live is the best thing that happened after 41 years.”
Jackson made the statement amid heightened police presence around him as authorities investigate the mysterious death of his wife, Toni Khumalo Jackson. The Liberia National Police has since declared Jackson a suspect in the case.
Police say the investigation into Toni’s death remains ongoing.
