Iron Sharpenth Iron Youth Conference 2025 Inspires Young People Toward Christ-Led Transformation

The Overflow Generation Network (OGN) of Liberia has successfully concluded a one-day youth conference under the theme “Iron Sharpeneth Iron”, drawn from Proverbs 27:17.

‎The gathering brought together Christian youths from diverse backgrounds with a mission to inspire, transform, educate, and win young people for Christ.

‎The conference, hosted under the banner of the Overflow Generation Network-a sub-youth department of Abundant Life Ministries International, Fendell Branch, featured a rich lineup of activities, including praise dance, gospel rap, solo ministrations, and various youth-led presentations.

‎OGN, recognized for its dedication to cultivating spiritually grounded young leaders, remains committed to nurturing youth through biblical teachings and personal development.

‎The first guest speaker, Evangelist Grace P. Kanneh, delivered a heartfelt message urging young attendees to live their lives for Jesus.

‎Drawing from her own testimony, she recounted her journey from the streets to becoming a vessel for God’s work.

‎“I was once in the streets. I did a whole lot of bad things,” she shared. “If God can use me to preach His message today, He can also use you.”

‎Evangelist Kanneh emphasized that difficult circumstances once shaped her decisions, but she later realized they were not God’s best path for her.

‎She encouraged youths to prioritize their spiritual lives, referencing Matthew 6:33- “Seek ye first the kingdom of God.”

‎The second speaker, Minister Columbus Dweh, echoed similar sentiments, urging young people to place their focus on God.

‎Speaking on the sub-theme of self-development, he used the biblical example of Saul’s transformation after encountering Christ.

‎“My life is a clear example of how God can use the unqualified and unjust to preach His words,” Min. Dweh shared, recalling his own troubled past.

‎The third speaker, Minister Rita B. Flomo, spoke on the theme “Generation Awaits Our Manifestation”.

‎She reminded the youths that the world is waiting for the Christ within them to be revealed.

‎“The world is waiting to see you manifest the kingdom of God,” she said. “Your young age is not meant to be wasted. The decisions you make today will determine who you become tomorrow.”

‎Bringing the conference to a close, Pastor Fayiah S. Tamba, Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Ministries, Fendell Branch, and vision bearer of OGN, encouraged young people to remain steadfast in their Christian walk.

‎He reaffirmed OGN’s purpose of nurturing the spiritual growth of Liberia’s youth.

‎According to Pastor Tamba, his desire is to see a new generation of young people “on fire for the things of God.”

‎The 2025 Iron Sharpens Iron Youth Conference left participants renewed, motivated, and spiritually recharged, a promising sign for the future of Liberia’s Christian youth community.
