JFD Memorial Hospital Gets Digital X-Ray Machine

Tappita, Nimba County–The Jackson F. Doe Memorial Referral Hospital, in Tappita, Nimba County has taken a major step forward in medical diagnostics with the installation of a brand-new digital X-ray machine.

The much-needed upgrade was carried out by a technical team from the Joseph Nyumah Boakai (JNB) Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Health’s Biomedical Division.

The Ministry of Health and the Memorial Referral Hospital, in a social media post expressed deep appreciation for the new equipment, which is expected to dramatically enhance patient diagnosis and treatment in Tappita and surrounding communities.

Prior to this development, the hospital faced frequent delays in imaging services due to aging equipment and limited technological support.

Digital X-ray machines provide faster imaging, clearer results, and less radiation exposure for patients, making them a valuable asset in modern healthcare delivery.

The donation underscores the JNB Foundation’s continued investment in Liberia’s health infrastructure and its commitment to supporting rural healthcare access.

According to the Ministry of Health, the installation is part of a broader national effort to strengthen diagnostic capacity across Liberia’s regional hospitals.

The Ministry reaffirmed its pledge to ensure quality, affordable, and reliable healthcare services for all citizens, regardless of location.

Residents of Nimba County and nearby areas have welcomed the news with optimism, hopeful that the new equipment will reduce the need for long-distance travel to Monrovia for advanced imaging services.

The JF Doe Hospital administrators anticipate that this development will help reduce patient waiting times and improve early detection of critical illnesses.

As the country strives to rebuild and improve its healthcare system, partnerships like these demonstrate the power of collaboration between government bodies and philanthropic organizations.

With this new advancement, Jackson F. Doe Memorial Referral Hospital is better positioned to serve as a medical hub in Liberia’s northeastern region.
