Kear Foundation Fills in the Gap; Pays Entrance Fees for 100 Students to University of Liberia

Amid growing frustration over the lack of opportunities and public service delivery, the Kear Humanitarian Foundation is filling in the gap to inspire hope for Liberia’s most vulnerable citizens.

In a powerful act of generosity, the foundation’s CEO, Mr. Christopher Kear, recently paid the entrance registration fees for 100 new students at the University of Liberia. The initiative, totaling L$300,000, seeks to empower underprivileged youth through education ~ a vital tool for breaking the cycle of poverty.

This move comes at a time when many local leaders are under scrutiny for corruption and neglect, leaving communities disillusioned and underserved. Kear’s initiative, however, offers a stark contrast ~ demonstrating that genuine leadership and compassion can still prevail.

The foundation, a non-profit organization, has long focused on improving lives through its core pillars: Health, Education, Agriculture, and Sanitation/WASH. Its recent efforts have included a range of impactful community interventions.

In the St. Paul Bridge community, the foundation constructed and donated a fully furnished two-bedroom house to a struggling family. The project, valued at over US$6,000, underscores their commitment to safe and dignified housing for the needy.

The foundation also currently sponsors more than 25 students at Bishop Richard West International School in the Sheffin Belt. Their support includes school fees, supplies, uniforms, and more ~ amounting to over L$1 million in educational investment.

In public health and sanitation, the foundation built a hand pump in the Battery Factory area, providing clean water access to residents at a cost of over US$1,200. Additionally, it has covered hospital and emergency medical bills for community members in crisis.

As communities continue to face systemic challenges, the Kear Humanitarian Foundation stands out as a force for good ~ delivering real, measurable change and restoring faith in service-driven leadership.

Through these efforts, the foundation proves that amid corruption, there is still hope, compassion, and a path forward.
