LCAA Launches Basic Computer Literacy to Enhance Workforce Skills

The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) is proud to announce the launch of a comprehensive basic computer literacy training program for its employees. This initiative highlights the LCAA’s dedication to improving its workforce’s skills and adapting to the aviation industry’s ever-evolving technological landscape.

According to a recent press release from the LCAA, the training program, which the Authority’s ICT Development Department conducts, is designed to equip LCAA staff with essential computer skills vital for modern-day operations. The program covers several key areas, including basic computer operations, internet usage, Microsoft Office Suite, and email communication.

Basic computer operations will help employees understand hardware components, operating systems, and file management. The training will also focus on navigating the web, searching for information, and utilizing online resources effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will be developed to ensure efficient documentation and presentations. Additionally, employees will be trained in email communication, focusing on effective email etiquette, composing professional emails, and managing email accounts.

LCAA Director General Julius D. Dennis, Jr. emphasized the significance of this training initiative and its positive impact on the organization’s modernization efforts and overall efficiency. He stated, “By investing in the digital literacy of our employees, we aim to improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, strengthen communication, and elevate the quality of service delivery.”
