Margibi County — The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA), in collaboration with the Banjul Accord Group Aviation Safety Oversight Organization (BAGASOO), has begun a specialized aviation training program aimed at strengthening the country’s regulatory oversight and safety standards.
The training, which is currently taking place at the Time Royal Ambassador Hotel in Margibi County, brings together technical staff and inspectors from the LCAA for an intensive capacity-building exercise. The program focuses on the use of two advanced regulatory tools — the Comprehensive Aviation Training System (CATS) and the Inspector Training Records and Qualification System (TRAQS).
According to the LCAA, the initiative is designed to enhance the skills of inspectors and other technical personnel responsible for certification and safety oversight. By utilizing CATS and TRAQS, the authority aims to improve the accuracy of tracking certification activities and ensure full compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements.
The release says the training marks another step in the LCAA’s commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining a safer, more compliant Liberian airspace.
The authority extended its appreciation to BAGASOO for its ongoing technical support and partnership in building a stronger aviation safety framework for Liberia.
