The Liberia Credit Union National Association (LCUNA) has concluded its 11th Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County-an event that marked a significant milestone in the nation’s cooperative and financial inclusion landscape.

Held under the theme “Building a Sustainable and Resilient Credit Union Movement,” the Assembly brought together delegates, board members, sector leaders, and partners committed to strengthening Liberia’s credit union network.

The gathering served as a powerful platform for reflection and strategic planning, as stakeholders engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing governance, transparency, and institutional growth.

The atmosphere was vibrant and purposeful, with participants sharing insights on how to reinforce the operational systems that support credit unions across the country.

During her keynote address, the Chairperson

Madam Yogie Mulbah Sirleaf reaffirmed LCUNA’s dedication to promoting financial literacy, supporting member institutions, and ensuring stability amid economic uncertainties.

She emphasized the critical importance of unity, innovation, and strong leadership in propelling the cooperative sector forward.

Delegates reviewed progress reports, considered sector-wide reforms, and adopted resolutions designed to strengthen resilience within the movement.

Specialized sessions and technical workshops offered additional guidance, equipping participants with practical tools for improving service delivery and operational excellence.

The successful conclusion of the 11th AGA underscores LCUNA’s continuing commitment to building a trusted, dynamic, and transformative credit union movement-one that expands financial access, uplifts communities, and supports sustainable livelihoods across Liberia.

As it enters a new operational year, LCUNA, through it’s Managing Director Mr. Yarkpazuo M. Gbusiwoi extended heartfelt appreciation to its member credit unions, partners, and stakeholders whose dedication fuels the ongoing growth and sustainability of the movement.

The Association remains steadfast in strengthening cooperative values and advancing a resilient financial future for all Liberians.
