LDEA arrests Nigerian national with drugs valued at US$8,614 along with L$1.2 million in counterfeit

The Grand Gedeh Detachment of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), under the command of Seargent Roland Warjoloh Chelleh, carried out a drug raid on March 12, 2026, at about 12:00 P.M., at Ngwu’s residence in Krahville community, Grand Gedeh.

The successful drug raid led to the seizure of a huge quanity of illicit substances, including: 494 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of concaine, and 76.1 grams of mixed concaine. The estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is US$8,614 or approximately 1.6 million Liberian dollars.

As part of the LDEA operations, supsect Ngwu was caught with approximately 1.2 million Liberian dollars in counterfeit. Ngwu is currently undergoing preliminary investigation at the LDEA Grand Gedeh Detachment office in Zwedru as he awaits Court Trial.

This latest raid of the LDEA affirms its readiness and deligence to crack down on illicit substances in Liberia, especially in rural communities.
