LDEA Arrests Nigerian National with Drugs Worth L$181,860 in Rivercess

Solo Village, Rivercess County — The Rivercess County Detachment of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested a Nigerian national for alleged involvement in illegal drug activities in Solo Village. The suspect, identified as Teo Okoh, was apprehended on Saturday, December 13, following a tip-off received by LDEA officers.

According to the LDEA, a search conducted at the suspect’s residence, in the presence of community members, led to the discovery of 10 kilograms of cannabis, 15 wraps of marijuana, one plate of marijuana, and 79 grams of loose marijuana. The total street value of the seized substances has been estimated at One Hundred Eighty-One Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty Liberian Dollars (L$181,860).

LDEA Commander James Nelson told reporters that the suspect allegedly admitted ownership of the drugs and claimed he has been involved in drug trafficking for the past two years. The suspect remains in LDEA custody and is expected to be forwarded to court today in accordance with Liberia’s drug laws.
