LDEA Arrests Woman with Tramadol Worth L$90,000 in River Cess

YARPAH TOWN, River Cess – The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) detachment in River Cess County has arrested a 36-year-old woman for alleged possession of a significant quantity of the narcotic drug Tramadol.

The suspect, identified as Naomi Dixson, was apprehended on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, with 30 stripes of Tramadol, commonly referred to as “Trauma King.” Authorities estimate the value of the drugs at L$90,000.

According to the LDEA, Dixson was taken into custody in Rivercess and is currently being held at the Yarpah Town Police Station pending further investigation.

Details released by the agency indicate that Dixson, a Liberian national of Bassa ethnicity, was born on January 11, 1989, in Rivercess County.

The LDEA has stepped up its crackdown on the illegal sale and distribution of narcotic substances across the county and cautioned that the growing abuse of drugs such as Tramadol continues to pose a serious danger to young people and to public safety, said LDEA Commander George Kermukai.

The agency confirmed that the case will be forwarded to court once preliminary investigations are concluded.
