Officers of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), West Point branch, apprehended two individuals on Wednesday afternoon, August 6, 2025, during a targeted drug raid in the area.
The suspects, Emmanuel Johnson, 25, and Joshuel Kolubah, 18 – both residents of Centre Street – were caught with a total of 2,918 wraps of the illegal drug known as Kush.
Authorities estimate the street value of the seized narcotics at approximately USD $2,188.50, or LD 437,700.
The operation was carried out around 2:00 PM, according to LDEA officials.
After their arrest, the suspects underwent questioning and were formally charged with illegal possession of narcotics in violation of Liberia’s drug laws.
The case has since been forwarded to the West Point Magisterial Court for legal proceedings.
