Liberia National Fire Service Receives Additional Firefighting Trucks, Sets to Expand in Counties

Monrovia, Liberia [July 5, 2025] – The Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) has announced the addition of six new fire trucks and a water tank to its fleet, a crucial enhancement that is expected to significantly boost the nation’s fire response and emergency readiness capabilities.

This fleet expansion comes as a result of the Government of Liberia’s unwavering support, under the leadership of His Excellency, President Joseph N. Boakai.

The investment highlights the government’s dedication to strengthening national institutions and promoting public safety.

G. Wasuwah Barvoul Sr., the Director of the Liberia National Fire Service, expressed appreciation for the timely and vital contribution from the government.

The acquisition of modern fire trucks and water tank will greatly improve our readiness and capacity to respond quickly and effectively to fire emergencies throughout the country. These new vehicles will be strategically deployed across different counties, enhancing coverage and enabling quicker response times in both urban and rural communities,” stated Director Barvoul Sr.

The development represents a pivotal step in the LNFS’s ongoing efforts to modernize and enhance its operational capabilities.

The Liberia National Fire Service remains committed to its mission of protecting lives and property through fire prevention efforts, emergency response, and public education initiatives.
