LNP Dismisses, Suspends Officers for Gross Misconduct

The Liberia National Police (LNP) has announced the immediate dismissal of one and suspension of two officers for impropriety and gross misconduct.

According to a LNP’s press release issued Tuesday evening, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, during the evening hours, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sam Gballah (code name R2), Patrolmen Augustine Ben and Sansee C. Massaquoi criminally entered into the Hotel room of Mr. Nguyah Dean and Mr. Levan Tu, Vietnamese nationals at the Luxury Hotel in Thinkers Village and allegedly made away with Twenty Five Thousand United States Dollars (USD25,000.00).

The release further revealed that dismissed Patrolman Sansee Massaquoi has been under indefinite suspension since 2018 for Theft of Property.

Meanwhile, ACP Gballah (R-2) and Patrolman Augustine Ben (cyber) have been interdicted and forwarded to the Professional Standards Division (PSD) for administrative investigation.

The Liberia National Police through the press release assured the public that the LNP will not tolerate any form of criminality by any Police officer under his watch.
