The Lofa County Administration has officially broken ground for a modern football stadium in Voinjama City, with an estimated budget of $500,000 USD. County authorities are urging local residents, particularly the youth of Lofa County, to contribute to this initiative, which aims to showcase the talents of both young men and women who are passionate about sports.
In addition to the stadium project, the county superintendent has pledged $50,000 USD to support the upcoming National County Sports Meets. Furthermore, the administration has allocated $5,000 USD for the recently concluded District League in Lofa County.
In the recently ended District League, Foya District and Zolayea District faced off in the finals, which concluded with a remarkable match resulting in a victory for Foya District #1. The final standings are as follows:
1st Place: Foya District #1 $1,500 USD
2nd Plac: Zolayea District $750 USD
3rd Place: Vahun District, 250 united states’ dollar
The successful completion of the stadium and the support for local sports initiatives reflect the county’s commitment to developing athletic facilities and fostering a vibrant sporting culture in Lofa County.
