Greenville, Sinoe County- In a major crackdown on illegal drug activity, the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Sinoe County Detachment carried out a major seizure of high-grade marijuana on the morning of May 11, 2025.
At approximately 6:45 a.m., a team of LDEA officers led by the Chief of Operations executed a targeted search and seizure operation at the residence of 33-year-old Agnes Toe in the Seabah Community of Greenville City.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of 37 plates of high-grade marijuana, with an estimated street value of USD $3,700 or LD 703,000.
Suspect Agnes Toe, a Liberian national, was arrested on the scene and immediately taken into custody.
According to the LDEA, she was transported to the LDEA headquarters in Sinoe for processing and has since been formally charged and forwarded to court for prosecution.
The LDEA emphasized its ongoing commitment to curbing the illegal drug trade in Liberia.
The LDEA, in a statement highlighted that the operation demonstrates it’s commitment to dissolve drug networks and protect communities from the harmful effects of narcotics substances.
“This operation demonstrates our resolve to dismantle drug networks and protect communities from the harmful effects of narcotics,” the agency stated.
