What began in 2004 as a mud-brick structure is now a modern public primary school serving 178 children in Zeewhorr Community.
On February 27, 2026, Mambahn Central Academy was officially handed over to the Government of Liberia after three months of construction. The upgraded facility includes a reliable water system, a structured kitchen to support school feeding, and a solar power system; practical investments that directly improve how children learn every day.
Completed at a cost of US$98,000 by Liberian-owned Hydro Tech Incorporated, the project reflects the power of partnership and community commitment.
Speaking at the turnover, Deputy Minister for Planning, Research and Development, Hon. Thomas Momo Parker, emphasized that infrastructure is foundational to education reform. Classrooms, water, power, trained teachers, and community ownership must work together to produce results.
Mambahn Central Academy now begins its next chapter as a public school, expanding access, strengthening learning conditions, and bringing reform closer to the community.
