MDR Appoints Yealu as Acting National Vice Chair for Mobilization and Recruitment

The Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) has announced the appointment of Mr. Melvin Yealu as its new acting national vice Chair for Mobilization and Recruitment.

According to an official communication issued by the party, the appointment takes immediate effect. Mr. Yealu previously served as Executive Assistant to the Office of the National Chairman of the MDR.

The decision follows the resignation of Mr. Nelsco Wolo, who formerly held the position of national vice Chair for Mobilization and Recruitment. Mr. Wolo has since taken up a senior government role at the Liberia Immigration Services (LIS), where he now serves as Deputy Commissioner General for Administration.

In the letter of appointment, the MDR leadership congratulated Mr. Yealu and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen the party’s mobilization and recruitment efforts nationwide.

The party also emphasized its expectation of a cordial and productive working relationship with Mr. Yealu and other officials as MDR continues to reorganize and expand its political structures.

The appointment letter was signed by Mr. Jackson Jonathan S., National Secretary General of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction.

The MDR, a registered political party in Liberia, has reiterated its commitment to democratic values, institutional rebuilding, and grassroots political engagement as it prepares for future political activities across the country.
