The Liberia Medical and Dental Board has accused Sam Worlobah of manslaughter and medical impersonation, seeking his arrest for allegedly performing an unauthorized surgery that led to a patient’s death.
Worlobah, a resident of New Georgia Junction in Gardnerville Township, is accused of posing as a licensed doctor and conducting surgery on Samuel P. Kollie at the Lofa Medic Service Clinic. According to a formal complaint filed on March 18, 2025, Worlobah falsely claimed to be a registered doctor and administrator of the clinic, where he admitted Kollie and performed the unauthorized procedure.
Kollie succumbed to complications from the surgery on March 19, 2025, prompting outrage and calls for accountability from the medical community. The Liberia Medical and Dental Board condemned Worlobah’s actions as reckless and a grave violation of both medical ethics and Liberian law.
In response, through the Ministry of Justice, the board has petitioned the Paynesville City Magisterial Court for Worlobah’s arrest. The warrant, signed by Court Clerk Hector M. Dolo and authorized by Stipendiary Magistrate Villiam G. Saygah, instructs Captain Roosevelt Bryant of the Magistrate Police to apprehend Worlobah and bring him before the court.
Police have yet to locate Worlobah, and his whereabouts remain unknown. The case has sparked widespread concern, with many urging strict enforcements against medical fraud to safeguard public health. As the investigation unfolds, the public awaits further developments on the legal proceedings against Worlobah.
