A mysterious and deeply troubling murder case involving a well-known medical practitioner has ignited calls for an urgent investigation by the Liberia National Police (LNP).
The body of Mr. Eric K. Duaryenneh, a resident of Nyanford Town, Gardnerville, was discovered at the JFK Medical Center morgue under unclear circumstances following his disappearance on Tuesday, September 30.
According to family sources, Mr. Duaryenneh had left his home earlier that day after receiving a call from Pastor Jasen Wallace, reportedly inviting him to supervise ongoing construction work at a church building located on New Georgia Road.
The next day, after Mr. Duaryenneh failed to return home and frantic searches by his family yielded no results, the family was informed by Pastor Wallace that the body of their loved one had been deposited at the JFK morgue. This revelation has raised more questions than answers.
Unanswered Questions and Alarming Clues
Relatives and community members are now demanding clarity on several troubling aspects surrounding the death:
Who transported Mr. Duaryenneh’s body to JFK?
Where exactly did he die, and under what circumstances?
Did he pass away in a hotel? Who authorized the body’s removal without informing the family?
Why did Pastor Wallace allegedly block the deceased’s wife from viewing the body initially?
According to Madame Duaryenneh, the widow, her husband’s body was discovered with visible bruises, both arms reportedly broken, and a deep laceration at the back of his head-indications of possible foul play.
Even more puzzling is how Pastor Wallace knew the body had been taken to JFK, despite having allegedly not been present during Mr. Duaryenneh’s final hours.
Accusations and Public Outcry
Family members, along with neighbors and community dwellers, have publicly accused Pastor Jasen Wallace of being connected to Mr. Duaryenneh’s untimely death, alleging motives linked to occult practices for the expansion of his church.
These serious accusations have fueled widespread rumors and suspicion in the community, prompting calls for immediate police action.
“We are demanding the Liberia National Police arrest and investigate Pastor Wallace immediately,” a family spokesperson said during a press briefing. “We also request that the officer who reportedly escorted the body to JFK be questioned as part of this ongoing case.”
Community Watches Closely as LNP Responds
As tensions rise, residents in Gardnerville and beyond are monitoring how the LNP will handle the case, emphasizing the need for transparency, professionalism, and swift justice.
Many fear that failure to act promptly could erode public trust in the justice system and embolden future acts of impunity.
Efforts to reach Pastor Jasen Wallace for comment have so far been unsuccessful.
As of press time, the Liberia National Police has not issued an official statement on the matter, but sources within the force say preliminary inquiries are underway.
A Family’s Cry for Justice
The death of Mr. Eric K. Duaryenneh has left a community in mourning and a family desperate for answers. Loved ones describe him as a peaceful, hard-working medical practitioner, deeply involved in his church and community.
“We will not rest until we know the truth,” said one grieving relative. “Justice must be served, for our father, our friend, and our neighbor.
