NBC Deputy Boss Booked

The National Bureau of Concession (NBC) has been a hotspot of corruption allegations and controversies under successive governments.

The Bureau, established as an independent legal entity through an Act of Legislature in 2010, is responsible to monitor and evaluating compliance with concession agreements and providing technical assistance to concession entities and other functions of government.

A recent investigation by Verity News has uncovered a writ of arrest that was issued for the Deputy Director General, Mr. Billclintos Kamara, even though management allegedly chose to conceal the information from public glare in an attempt to protect Kamara’s wrongdoing according to multiple sources who spoke to Verity News based on anonymity.

The writ of arrest which was issued by Associate Magistrate James Ngafua on April 15, 2024, stated, “You are hereby commanded to arrest the living body(ies) of the criminal defendant(s) Billclintos Kaman to be identified, charged with the commission of the crime is theft of property property by deception that they are on the run also place themselves in hiding to evade prosecution.”

Another writ of arrest was also issued for Kamara on April 4, 2024. The Deputy Boss of NBC was accused by a private prosecution, Joe Debblay, of putting him under the pretense of shipping vehicles from the United States of America.

The writ said defendant Kamara woefully, internationally, and purposely, and criminally received US$2,300 on August 3, 2023, under the pretense of being a car dealer.

These writs of arrest raise serious doubt over the reputation of the National Bureau of Concession which should be an integrity institution that monitors various concessions across Liberia.

With this latest discovery of theft by pretense allegedly committed by the Deputy Director of NBC, pundits believe that an investigation is needed to safeguard the institution’s reputation.

A source working at the NCB also confided in Verity News that this is not the first time that Kamara stands accused of allegedly dubbing someone.

The source claimed that he had allegedly duped the political advisor of President Boakai, Madam MacDella Cooper, over a US$7,000 Scam.

The two writs of arrest for Kamara in our possession is a cause for concern, especially considering his high-profile role as a senior official clothed with monitoring and engaging with multi-million concession companies across Liberia.
