NLA Highlights Early Reforms in First 100 Days Under DG Peter L. Solo

By: Archie Boan

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has released a summary of key achievements delivered during the first 100 days of Director General Hon. Peter L. Solo, outlining reforms aimed at strengthening oversight, improving transparency, and restoring public trust in the institution.

According to Marketing Director Kai Gee, the first 100 days focused heavily on structural adjustments and regulatory enforcement. He said the period marked “a deliberate effort to rebuild credibility and ensure the gaming sector operates under clear, accountable standards.”
The report highlights improved monitoring of gaming operations across the country, renewed compliance enforcement, and measures designed to increase transparency in the lottery and gaming industry.

Gee noted that the NLA also carried out internal restructuring, supported staff capacity development, and introduced new systems intended to enhance revenue accountability and institutional efficiency.

“These early reforms set the tone for a more credible, innovative, and well-regulated lottery and gaming sector,” Gee stated, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to expanding lawful gaming opportunities while protecting consumers and safeguarding national revenue.

The NLA says its next phase of reforms will build on these initial gains, with plans to pursue broader modernization efforts and strengthen partnerships with stakeholders nationwide.
