Notorious Robbery Suspect “LASO” Sent to Court on Multiple Charges

By Jeremiah Gayflor

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia National Police (LNP) has charged and forwarded to court a suspected notorious robber, Lassannah Kromah, commonly known as “LASO,” on multiple criminal offenses, including armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, criminal facilitation, aiding consummation of crime, theft of property, and fraud.

According to the LNP, Kromah’s arrest took place on October 17, 2025, during a major anti-robbery operation in Montserrado County. The police disclosed that seventeen (17) stolen motorbikes were discovered and retrieved from the suspect’s residence during the raid.

Investigators say Kromah allegedly ran a fraudulent network involving the purchase and resale of stolen motorbikes. He reportedly issued fake receipts and deceived buyers into believing that the transactions were legitimate and conducted through a registered business.

In a public statement, the LNP called on victims of motorbike theft to present proper ownership documents at any nearby police station to help reclaim their property. The police further cautioned the public against buying stolen items, warning that such actions constitute a criminal offense under Liberian law and could lead to arrest and prosecution.
