NTA Clarifies Arrival of First 35 Buses in New National Fleet

By Jeremiah Gayflor

Monrovia, Liberia – The National Transit Authority (NTA) has issued a statement clarifying recent reports circulating on social media about the anticipated arrival of the first batch of buses under its new fleet expansion program.

According to the NTA, the first 35 out of a total of 60 new buses are currently en route to Liberia and are expected to be offloaded in the coming days. However, the Authority emphasized that all official information regarding their arrival will be shared exclusively through its verified channels, including the NTA’s Facebook page and official website.

“We are aware of the excitement among Liberians about the arrival of these buses, and we fully understand the relief they will bring to the transportation sector,” the statement read. “However, we encourage the public to depend on our official communications for accurate and up-to-date information.”

The NTA further appealed for patience as the necessary formalities for the delivery and clearance of the buses are being completed. Once finalized, the Authority assured that the new fleet will be available soon to enhance public transportation services across the country.

The 60-bus initiative is part of the NTA’s ongoing efforts to improve mobility and ease the daily commuting challenges faced by citizens in Monrovia and other parts of Liberia.
