Monrovia, Liberia — In a move aimed at modernizing public transport, the National Transit Authority (NTA) announced that one of its buses operating between Monrovia and Ganta, Nimba County, will offer internet access starting Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
The initiative is part of a one-month pilot project to test internet service across the NTA fleet, providing passengers with an enhanced travel experience. Commuters will receive a unique access code free of charge when purchasing their bus ticket. A dedicated staff member will also be available on board to assist passengers with connecting to the service.
In its statement, the NTA asked passengers for their cooperation and patience during the trial, as the authority works to expand the service to all routes nationwide.
“This pilot project represents a major step toward a more connected and convenient travel experience for our passengers,” the NTA management said.
