River Cess County — The Office of Superintendent Byron Zahnwea has taken legal action against several residents of Yarpah Town after allegations surfaced that a recent protest turned violent and unlawful activities were carried out under the guise of community action.
According to a formal Notice to Appear pray for by the Superintendent’s office through the Yarpah Magisterial Court, residents including Jerome G. Reeves and Alexander Gbediah, Jr, along with other unidentified individuals, have been ordered to appear in court on Friday, November 21, 2025. They face multiple count charges, including Theft of Property, Physical Obstruction of Government Function, Criminal Trespass, Menacing, Criminal Coercion, Riot/Failure to Disperse, Criminal Facilitation, and Terroristic Threats.
Court documents allege that on November 3, 2025, the accused staged a protest without securing an official permit. What began as a demonstration reportedly escalated into a violent riot in which both peaceful citizens and government officials were allegedly assaulted.
Prosecutors further claim that the group forcibly took control of the Yarpah Town Plank Committee office, assuming authority over its operations. During the occupation, they allegedly collected tolls from passing plank trucks—an act considered illegal and outside their jurisdiction.
The complaint also outlines accusations that the individuals issued threats to physically harm anyone, including government authorities, who attempted to interfere with their activities.
The defendants are expected to appear in court as the legal process unfolds, with authorities emphasizing the need for accountability and adherence to established community and governmental procedures.
