Finally, five (5) opposition political leaders have signed a joint accord aimed at strengthening opposition unity and forming a coalition ahead of Liberia’s 2029 general and presidential elections.
The five political leaders who signed are:
1) George M. Weah, Congress for Democratic Change (CDC)
2) Alexander B. Cummings, Alternative National Congress (ANC)
3) Semion Freeman, Movement for Progressive Change (MPC)
4) Jonathan A. Mason, Union of Liberian Democrats Party (ULDP)
5) Dee-Maxwell Keymeyah, Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE)
A major question that continues to echoe is that who will head the opposition if this joint communique eventually leads to a coalition?
