Speaking at the event, Madam Murray expressed her organization’s continued commitment to working alongside the Government of Liberia in strengthening the nation’s healthcare systems.
“We are pleased to support the Ministry of Health through this essential donation,” she said. “This contribution is part of our joint effort, under the Global Fund, to enhance health services across the country, especially in remote and underserved areas. We thank the Government of Liberia for the longstanding partnership and for welcoming our work here.”
In her response, Dr. Catherine Cooper, Chief Medical Officer of Liberia, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Ministry.
“This donation comes at a critical time and will significantly boost our operational capacity, especially in the fight against HIV, tuberculosis, and COVID-19,” said Dr. Cooper. “We reaffirm our commitment to working closely with Plan International Liberia and the Global Fund to improve health outcomes for all Liberians.”
The vehicles and motorcycles are expected to strengthen logistical and field operations in various counties, particularly for healthcare workers providing services under HIV, TB, and COVID-19 programs.
