President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has urged youthful Liberians to take the lead in driving the country’s development, emphasizing their crucial role in shaping Liberia’s future.
He described young people as a vital segment of the population, possessing the energy, potential, and vision needed to propel the nation forward.
Speaking at the endorsement ceremony of the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) and the County Development Agendas (CDAs) on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Ministerial Complex, President Boakai stressed the need for young people to be proactive participants in all facets of national growth.
“To our young people, you are the enablers of change. We are committed to equipping you with the tools to lead our country into a brighter future,” he assured, highlighting their ability to influence Liberia’s historical trajectory.
The President emphasized that young Liberians should not be viewed merely as political tools but as essential agents of social and economic change. He underscored that the future of Liberia lies in the hands of the youth, making their involvement in national development indispensable.
In addition to the youth, President Boakai also identified women as a key force capable of driving economic growth and development. He emphasized the importance of their active participation in the economy, arguing that their inclusion is necessary for sustainable progress.
