Monrovia, Liberia — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has departed Liberia for an official state visit to the French Republic at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron.
The visit, according to the Executive Mansion, is aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and exploring new areas of cooperation between Liberia and France in the fields of governance, economic development, climate action, and bilateral trade.
While in Paris, President Boakai is expected to hold high-level discussions with French authorities on deepening collaboration in education, infrastructure, and energy, as well as securing greater French support for Liberia’s development agenda.
The Liberian leader will also make a short working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he will engage with government and private sector officials on investment opportunities, particularly in renewable energy, agriculture, and technology.
President Boakai’s visit underscores Liberia’s renewed commitment to strengthening international partnerships and fostering sustainable growth through diplomacy and cooperation.
The President is accompanied by a high-level delegation of government officials and advisors.
