President Boakai Nominates Ambassadors to Key Foreign Missions

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has nominated host distinguished individuals to serve as ambassadors in key foreign missions.

The appointments, were made on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

According to a release from the Executive Mansion, the nominations affect several high-profile diplomatic postings across the world, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Kuwait, Qatar, Senegal, Morocco, Ghana, and the Liberia Perm anent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

The new appointees  include, Al Hassan Conteh – Ambassador Designate to the United States of America, Genevieve Kennedy – Ambassador Designate to the United Kingdom, Teeko Yorlay, Ambassador Designate to France, and Edward Appleton – Ambassador Designate to Japan.

Others include, Brahima Kaba – Ambassador Designate to KKuwait, Mohammed Kanneh – Ambassador Designate to QQatar Ali Sylla, Ambassador Designate to Senegal, Joseph Johnson, Ambassador Designate to Morocco, Musu J. Ruhle – Ambassador Designate to Ghana, and Lewis Brown – Ambassador Designate to the Liberia Permanent Mission in New York.

These appointments is part of efforts to enhance Liberia’s diplomatic ties with the international community and promote the country’s interests abroad.

Each of the nominees brings a wealth of experience in diplomacy, international relations, and public service, which the President believes will help elevate Liberia’s global recognition.
