The Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s leading professional association for project managers, has announced the chartering of a new chapter in Liberia.
This milestone marks a significant step forward for the project management profession in the country and will bring numerous benefits to aspiring and experienced project managers alike.
The Liberia Chapter of PMI will serve as a hub for networking, knowledge sharing, and professional development for project management practitioners. By providing access to a global community of over 600,000 members in 135 countries, the chapter will enable Liberian project managers to connect with their peers, exchange best practices, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and methodologies in the field.
“We are excited to welcome Liberia to the PMI family. This has been a long dream fulfilled ,” said J. Cyrus Saygbe Sr, BBA, MBA, MPA, PMP, Acting President and a key figure in establishing the chapter. “This new chapter will provide a platform for Liberian project managers to grow their skills, advance their careers, and contribute to the country’s development. It would also serve as a one-stop-shop for the project management profession and provide an avenue for Liberians desirous of pursuing project management as a profession to accelerate such ambition.”
The chartering of the Liberia Chapter comes at a crucial time as the country continues to rebuild and develop its infrastructure and economy.
Project managers play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects, from construction, agriculture , information technology to healthcare and education.
By fostering a strong project management community, the chapter will contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of these projects, ultimately benefiting the Liberian people.
