The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) has received an additional donation of 100 bags of cement, valued at US$800, from Liberian activist Martin K. N. Kollie in support of its ongoing headquarters construction project on 9th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia.
This latest contribution fulfills a pledge Mr. Kollie made to the Union and follows an earlier donation of 50 bags of cement worth US$400. His total contribution now stands at 150 bags of cement, valued at US$1,200.
The PUL has expressed its gratitude for Mr. Kollie’s consistent support of the landmark project, which comes as the Union celebrates its 61st anniversary under the theme, “Commemorating Our Past, Constructing Our Future.”
The construction of the new headquarters is being led by the PUL Project/Anniversary Committee, chaired by Bleyah Bobby Addison.
The Union is encouraging journalists, media institutions, development partners, and members of the public to follow Mr. Kollie’s example of supporting the initiative to establish a permanent home for Liberian journalists.
