Yes, the public outcry is powerful. But let’s talk about what’s quietly getting lost in the noise: human dignity.
Stop filming people at their lowest.
Stop sharing rehab footage like it’s entertainment.
Stop chasing “success stories” before survivors are ready.
If we say someone isn’t in their right mind to act responsibly, then they’re also not in the right mind to give public interviews about addiction and trauma.
Rehab is sacred.
Recovery is personal.
Healing is not a performance.
Let’s go after the big players—not just the petty traders and ghettos.
Let’s protect families who don’t want their pain online.
Let’s temper our hunger for “breaking news” with compassion.
Not every moment needs to be a Facebook Live.
Some battles deserve privacy, not publicity.
