The Legislative Caucus of Grand Kru County, of which Representative J. Fonati Koffa is a member, has issued a statement in solidarity with him. The Caucus said it is disturbed by what is unfolding and expressed deep empathy with the Grand Kru District #2 Representative J. Fonati Koffa.
The Caucus, however, emphasized that charges against Rep. Koffa are bailable and therefore requests that the Ministry of Justice releases him from further detention because he poses no flight risk.
“As the legal process unfolds, the Grand Kru Legislative Caucus urges the State to ensure a free, fair, and impartial trial,” the statement asserted.
