Speaking to Verity News few minutes ago, the Director of Press at the House of Representatives in Liberia, Mr. Robert B. Haynes, confirms that the Agenda circulating on social media with a Request to Expel Representative Yekeh Kolubah is authentic but clarifies that it was never discussed in the Leadership meeting.
When asked why, Director Haynes explained:
“The agenda circulating is authentic. There was a leadership meeting today, but the request to expel Montserrado County District #10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah was never discussed. Yes, it is true that it was placed on the Agenda. This issue about expulsion is a communication formally written to the Leadership of the House of Representatives by Montserrado County District #3 Representative Sumo Mulbah. The leadership has not taken any decision yet, because only the Plenary can decide on matters relating to expulsion; and the House is on break right now. Even the Police Director himself wrote the Legislature complaining Hon. Kolubah on issues relating to national security. Two requests have been made against Rep. Kolubah. Today in the leadership meeting, it was on the agenda, but never discussed.”
More details to follow.
