The Group of 77, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with physical challenges in Liberia, received a significant boost on January 11, 2025 through a donation from Orange Liberia and its affiliates.
The donation program, held at the Group of 77 Disabled Center, was graced by the Second Lady of Liberia, Madam Synleseh Stephenie Dahn-Koung, who also serves as the organization’s Executive Director.
The high-level delegation from the Orange Foundation, Orange Cluster, and Orange Liberia delivered a financial contribution of $10,000, complemented by essential supplies valued at $15,000.
These included 50 bags of rice (25kg each), mattresses, wheelchairs, and other necessities to improve the welfare of persons with special needs.
Madam Koung lauded Orange Liberia during the ceremony for its commitment to fostering inclusivity and empowering marginalized communities. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Jean Marius Yao, CEO of Orange Liberia, Mr. Mamadou Bamba, Chairman of the Orange Côte d’Ivoire Group, and the Orange team for their unwavering support. This generous contribution demonstrates their dedication to building a more inclusive and equitable society,” she stated.
