Snowe Visits Central Prison in Solidarity with His “Cousin” Mary Broh who has been jailed for her role in a major rice scandal.
“Madam Mary Broh is my cousin. I received a call from her this morning that she was arrested and brought here (Central prison). This is why I’m here. No further comment,” Senator Snowe told journalists in Monrovia.
Former GSA Boss Mary Broh and two others, including ex-Foreign Minister Kemayah and former NDMA Boss Henry Williams, stand accused of conniving to divert and mismanage 29,412 bags of rice valued at over US$425,928 that were donated in April 2023 by Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KS-Relief).
